Getting Started
Before using your alarm system, take a moment to familiarise yourself with the keypad. The keypad is your main way to control the alarm — you'll use it to arm, disarm, and manage your system.
Your Keypad

Your keypad has the following areas:
Number Keys (1–9, 0)
These are used to enter your User Code (PIN). Each key also has letters printed on it (like a phone) which are used when naming zones or users.
| Key | Letters |
|---|---|
| 1 | txt |
| 2 | abc |
| 3 | def |
| 4 | ghi |
| 5 | jkl |
| 6 | mno |
| 7 | pqrs |
| 8 | tuv |
| 9 | wxyz |
| 0 | (space) |
Function Buttons
| Button | What It Does |
|---|---|
| PLAY | Play voice announcements or audio memo |
| QUIT | Exit the current menu or cancel an operation |
| REC / YES | Confirm a selection or record a voice memo |
| LIGHT | Toggle the keypad backlight or activate connected lights |
| NO | Reject a selection or go back |
| * / prev | Star key — also used as "prev" to scroll backward or select zones |
| # / next | Hash key — also used as "next" to scroll forward through menus |
Indicator Lights
Your keypad has three indicator lights at the top right:
| Light | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Power (green) | The system is powered on and working normally |
| Fault (amber/yellow) | There is a fault that needs attention — contact your installer |
| Alarm (red) | An alarm has been triggered or there is an alarm memory |
Your User Code
Your installer will have given you a User Code (also called a PIN). This is typically a 4-digit number that you enter on the keypad to arm or disarm the system.
- Do not share your user code with anyone who should not have access to your system
- Change your code regularly for added security
- If you forget your code, contact your installer
How to Enter Your Code
Whenever the system asks for your User Code:
- Press the 0 button first
- Then type your 4-digit code using the number keys
For example, if your code is 1234, you would press: 0 1 2 3 4
Quick Code with User Code is an EN 50131 requirement. Your system may be configured to require the 0 key before your code for compliance.
